Rancho Bernardo Track & Field Alumni Bios

Below are some of our Broncos who went on to compete at the college level in Track & Field. We are excited to recognize them and highlight their accomplishments as Broncos and beyond!

Class of 2025

Camden Luecht

Camden graduated in 2025 after competing as a Bronco from 2022-2025 as a member of the boy’s distance team. During his time as a Bronco, Camden held personal bests of 9:16 in the 3200m and 4:21 in the 1600m. He was also the CIF San Diego Division 1 Champion in the 3200m in 2025. He was named Rancho Bernardo boys Athlete of the Year in 2025. After graduating, he continued his track career at UC Santa Barbara. “Pressure is a privilege!”

Class of 2024

Tayhlore Hoagland

Tayhlore graduated in 2024 after competing as a Bronco from 2020-2024 in Long Jump and as a sprinter. During her time as a Bronco, Tayhlore finished 3rd all-time in long jump, was awarded Best Track Athlete, Track & Field MVP, and Rancho Bernardo Scholar Athlete of the Year. After graduating, she continued her track and field career at Cal Poly SLO. During her time there, she is tied for 8th best all time in Long Jump. “My biggest piece of advice is be patient and keep working. Even when it feels like nothing's going right, stay dedicated to your training and recovery, and in time it will all come together. Also, most importantly, remember to have fun and enjoy where you are!”

Class of 2019

Lily LaGoy

Lily graduated in 2019 after competing as a Bronco from 2015-2019 in High Jump. During her time as a Bronco, Lily was a 3-time shot put Palomar League champion. She was also the 2019 San Diego CIF shot put champion. Lily finished as the RB school record in shot put with the number 1 All-time mark of 42 feet. After graduating, she continued her throwing career at Bryant University. During her time there she held the indoor shot-put school record in 2022 and placed in the New England Conference championship in 2020 & 2021. Her collegiate all-time mark in shot put is 13.16 meters. “My time as a member of the RBHS T&F team shaped me into the person I am today! I will always have so much gratitude for Coach Dexter Martin and Coach Jones for introducing me to my love of track and field!”

Class of 2018

Max Castin

Max graduated in 2018 after competing as a Bronco from 2015-2018 in High Jump. During his time as a Bronco, Max was the 2018 CIF Division 1 High Jump Champion, The Palomar League Champion in 2017 & ‘18. His personal high jump record of 6’6” has him tied for 6th in RB History. Max was also a part of 2x CIF Champion Team Titles (17/18). After graduating he has continued his high jump career at Cal State Fullerton, Mt Sac, and currently Concordia Irvine Division 2 men’s track & field team, majoring in Kinesiology. Max’s advice to future Broncos: never give up, never let anybody tell you that you can’t be great.
