Rancho Bernardo Track & Field Alumni Bios
Below are some of our Broncos who went on to compete at the college level in Track & Field. We are excited to recognize them and highlight their accomplishments as Broncos and beyond!
Class of 2025
Camden Luecht
Camden graduated in 2025 after competing as a Bronco from 2022-2025 as a member of the boy’s distance team. During his time as a Bronco, Camden held personal bests of 9:16 in the 3200m and 4:21 in the 1600m. He was also the CIF San Diego Division 1 Champion in the 3200m in 2025. He was named Rancho Bernardo boys Athlete of the Year in 2025. After graduating, he continued his track career at UC Santa Barbara. “Pressure is a privilege!”
Class of 2024
Tayhlore Hoagland
Tayhlore graduated in 2024 after competing as a Bronco from 2020-2024 in Long Jump and as a sprinter. During her time as a Bronco, Tayhlore finished 3rd all-time in long jump, was awarded Best Track Athlete, Track & Field MVP, and Rancho Bernardo Scholar Athlete of the Year. After graduating, she continued her track and field career at Cal Poly SLO. During her time there, she is tied for 8th best all time in Long Jump. “My biggest piece of advice is be patient and keep working. Even when it feels like nothing's going right, stay dedicated to your training and recovery, and in time it will all come together. Also, most importantly, remember to have fun and enjoy where you are!”
Class of 2021
Savannah Mbamo
Savannah graduated in 2021 after competing as a Bronco from 2018-2021 in Shot Put and Discus. During her time as a Bronco, Savannah was the discus Palomar League champion in 2019. Savannah finished #7 all time in Girls Shot Put and #2 all time in Girls Discus. After graduating, she continued her throwing career at UC Santa Barbara. During her time there she was the Throws Captain in 2025 and finished with collegiate all-time marks of 16.04m in Weight Throw, 11.65m in Shot Put, 42.48m in Discus, and 49.59 in Hammer Throw. “Keep showing up even when you're tired but remember there is more to life than athletics. And always hold onto your love of the sport.”
Class of 2019
Lily LaGoy
Lily graduated in 2019 after competing as a Bronco from 2015-2019 in Shot Put and Discus. During her time as a Bronco, Lily was a 3-time shot put Palomar League champion. She was also the 2019 San Diego CIF shot put champion. Lily finished as the RB school record in shot put with the number 1 All-time mark of 42 feet. After graduating, she continued her throwing career at Bryant University. During her time there she held the indoor shot-put school record in 2022 and placed in the New England Conference championship in 2020 & 2021. Her collegiate all-time mark in shot put is 13.16 meters. “My time as a member of the RBHS T&F team shaped me into the person I am today! I will always have so much gratitude for Coach Dexter Martin and Coach Jones for introducing me to my love of track and field!”
Class of 2018
Max Castin
Max graduated in 2018 after competing as a Bronco from 2015-2018 in High Jump. During his time as a Bronco, Max was the 2018 CIF Division 1 High Jump Champion, The Palomar League Champion in 2017 & ‘18. His personal high jump record of 6’6” has him tied for 6th in RB History. Max was also a part of 2x CIF Champion Team Titles (17/18). After graduating he has continued his high jump career at Cal State Fullerton, Mt Sac, and currently Concordia Irvine Division 2 men’s track & field team, majoring in Kinesiology. Max’s advice to future Broncos: never give up, never let anybody tell you that you can’t be great.
Class of 2017
Kassady Learn
Kassady graduated in 2017 after competing as a Bronco from 2013-2017 in Distance. After graduating she has continued her track career at Lewis University, majoring in Aviation Administration. During her collegiate career, she earned 3x all-conference honors and finished with 2 top 10 times in each the 10k and 5k. Kassady’s advice to future Broncos: compete in college athletics if you can! You will meet the best people ever and have lifelong friendships.

Bryanna Clancy
Bryanna graduated in 2015 after competing as a Bronco from 2012-2015 in Distance. After graduating high school, she continued her track career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, majoring in Business Finance.
Class of 2013
Brendan Gee
Brendan graduated in 2013 after competing as a Bronco from 2009-2013 in Distance. During his time as a Bronco, Brendan ran PRs of 4:22 in the 1600m and 9:26 in the 3200m. After graduating he continued his track career at UC San Diego, majoring in Math/Economics. During his collegiate career, he was a Cross Country D2 National qualifier, with PRs of 30:49 in the 10k, 14:55 in the 5k, 1:09 in the half marathon, and 2:21 in the Marathon. Brendan’s advice to future Broncos: Running is all about consistency and IQ. Put the work in. Make easy days easy. Plan the race around your strengths. Embrace the pressure. Have fun :)
Class of 2012
Dimitri Voytilla
Dimitri graduated in 2012 after competing as a Bronco from 2008-2012 in Distance. During his time as a Bronco, he was a CIF finalist in the 3200m in 2011 and 2012 (6th place as a junior in 2012), helped Rancho Bernardo win back-to-back CIF team championships in Cross Country (2010) and Track (2011), and earned the Silver Star Award and San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team. He had PRs of 2:05.90 in the 800m, 4:25.15 in the 1600m, and 9:21 in the 3200m. After graduating he continued his track career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, majoring in Business Administration. During his collegiate career, he finished 6th in the 10k in 2014, 4th in the 5k in 2015, and 7th in the 10k in 2016. He also helped his team win a team conference title in 2013 for Cross Country. Dimitri would love to give a huge thank you to Coach Doc for guiding him on the right path, his empathy and encouragement, and for transforming his running career with his training.
Class of 2010
Elisa Karhu
Elisa graduated in 2010 after competing as a Bronco from 2009-2010 in Distance. During her time as a Bronco, Elisa was All-League selection in her respective event. After graduating high school, she continued her track career at UC Berkeley, majoring in Integrative Biology. During her senior year of college, Elisa went on to compete in the marathon with a best time of 2:42:42.
Class of 2010
Parker Stinson
Parker graduated in 2010 after competing as a Bronco from 2007-2008 in Distance. He then transferred to Cedar Park High in Texas. During his time as a Bronco, Parker was Cross Country Palomar League Champion. His High School accolades include being the Texas State Champion in the 3200m, 2x Junior Champion in the 10k, finishing 6th at US World Junior Championships in the 10k, and PRs of 4:12 in the 1600m, 8:54 in the 3200m, and 29:32 in the 10k. After graduating high school, he continued his track career at the University of Oregon, majoring in Philosophy. He placed 3rd in NCAA in the 5k in 2014 and 2015, finishing with 3 NCAA Team National Championships in Track and Field. He had PRs of 7:51 in the 2k, 13:31 in the 5k, and 28:34 in the 10k. Parker’s words of advice: Hard work stays undefeated!

Sean Proehl
Sean graduated in 2008 after competing as a Bronco from 2004-2008 in Distance. After graduating high school, he continued his track career at the University of Kansas, majoring in Business Marketing.
Class of 2006
Carl Dargitz
Carl graduated in 2006 after competing as a Bronco from 2002-2006 in Distance. During his time as a Bronco, Carl finished #2 all time in the 1600m with a time of 4:17.29, as well as top 10 all time list in the 800m and 3200m. After graduating high school, he continued his track career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he majored in Biomedical Engineering. He finished #7 on Cal Poly’s all-time list in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 8:49.29.
Class of 1998
Christine Kitchen
Christine graduated in 1998 after competing as a Bronco from 1995-1998 in Distance. During her time as a Bronco, she broke the school record in 1996 in the 800m with a time of 2:18.10. After graduating high school, she continued her track career at Chico State University where she majored in Communication Design.
